102 more dengue fever cases detected in Karachi in a week

KARACHI: As many as 102 more dengue fever cases have been reported in Karachi within a week, raising the disease fever cases toll to 1687 patients in the city this year.

According to the weekly report issued by Dengue Prevention & Control Program Sindh, a total 1732 dengue fever cases were reported from Sindh province from 1st January to date, out of which 1687 were detected from Karachi city alone. Three people died from dengue fever in the city this year.

At least 102 dengue fever cases emerged across the city from 21 to 27 September 2015.

As per report, out of total dengue fever reported cases, 1687 were reported from Karachi, 18 from Hyderabad, eight from Larkana, four each from Mirpurkhas & Shaheed Benazirabad, three from Thatta, two each from Sukkur & Ghotki, one each from Umer Kot, Sanghar, Shikarpur and Jaccobabad.
