Karachi: Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui said on Thursday that 212 unemployed youth have been employed from January to March 2015 under Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resources and Development Board (BBSHRDB), and remaining will be employed soon.
He said while presiding over Placement Bureau’s 24th meeting in the city. At the meeting, BBSHRDB Secretary Kareem Bux Siddiqui, Dr Islam Hamid, ABAD’s Azim Durrani, Deputy Commissioner West Mohammad Mateen, Waseemuddin from Korangi and Assistant Commissioner General Karachi Shahzaib Sheikh, Youth Affairs Department’s Saleem Siddiqui, and Employees Cooperation Karachi’s UR Usmani were also present.
He directed Assistant Commissioner Site to remain in touch with energy department and municipal organization to shift solid waste from industries to produce energy with the cooperation of energy producing departments.
The BBSHRDB secretary also informed in the meeting that the agreement between BBSHRDB and ABAD is likely to be signed shortly, which will open national and international job opportunities for youth.
