25 policemen injured in clash with PAT workers in Islamabad

Islamabad: At least twenty five police personnel were injured in clash with the workers of Pakistan Awami Tehrik at Kural chowk in Islamabad on Monday.

According to the Interior Ministry the police personnel have been ordered not to use any force against the protesters.

Thirteen injured police personnel have been admitted to District Headquarter Rawalpindi while eleven to Poly Clinic in Islamabad for treatment.

The Punjab government has announced a compensation of three hundred thousand rupees each for the police personnel received injuries due to the pelting of stones and baton charge by the workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek in Islamabad.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Mashood has said that workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek have not arrested anywhere in Punjab.

He said the government respects right for protest of the peaceful PAT workers.
