30 couples tied their knots

SIALKOT: The 30 couples tied their knots during a simple, prestigious but impressive mass-wedding ceremony held at Daska under the auspices of local NGO namely “Young Blood Foundation Daska” here Tuesday. It was the 10th annual mass wedding function held by this NGO at Daska.

Daska based “charity icon” Baba Jee Khalid Mehmood Makki Madani provided dowry including jewellery sets and household articles worth Rs.150, 000 each to every bride there.

More than 3000 guests including local notables, families, family members of the brides and grooms attended this mass-wedding ceremony.

The participants exhorted others and well-to-do and philanthropists to follow suit to mitigate the sufferings of the poor and helpless parents.

The guests including Daska based “charity icon” Baba Jee Khalid Mehmood Makki Madani , international famed “Uncle Cricket” Sufi Abdul Jalil, MPAs Shabeena Majeed Wyne and Rana Abdul Sattar, Bashir Ahmed Naz (Vice President of Asian Federation of Therapeutic Communities (AFTC) Asia, Tanveer Ahmed Mughal (President NGO Young Blood Foundation Daska), Haji Zahid Jehangir (general secretary) and local traders, senior journalists, lawyers and philanthropists presented “salami” and special wedding gifts to these newly-wed couples and later they seen off them with special prayers of their happy life.
