30 extortionists loot shops

NASIRABAD: Nearly 30 extortionists looted tow shops in Police Station Mir Hassan area at night by taking two chowkidars their hostage and decamped with over Rupees two million. They put houses on fire after opening fire in three villages and escaped leaving a threatening letter of leaving the village.

According to details more than 20 motorcycle riders numbering 30 took two chowkidars their hostage in Faizan market in Police Station Mir Hassan area at night and put them in a room by tying their hands and feet.

Then they broke several shops mostly medical stores and looted a cash of Rupees one million and other goods worth Rupees 1.5 million and ran away.

While fleeing, these extortionists opened fire in Goth Manzoor Hussain Khosa, Goth Aslam Khan Khosa, Goth Mir Hassan and threw petrol filled bottled on the houses which caught fire. They also left letters threatening villagers to leave the area or ready to face consequences.

People on self help put out the fire and lodged a report with police.

On the other hand police said that owing to lack of resources they were unable to take action against terrorists. Terrorists are equipped with rocket launchers and other modern weapons besides having sufficient manpower.
