Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 39% Pakistanis believe world security situation has worsened after Osama bin Laden’s death; 45% say there is no change.
A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces was asked, American forces killed Osama Bin Laden on the Pakistani soil on 2nd May 2011.
In your opinion, has the world security situation improved or worsened after the death of Osama Bin Laden or has there been no change?” Responding to this, 15% said the security situation has improved since Osama Bin Laden’s death, 39% were of the opinion that it has worsened and 45% believe there is no change. 1% did not respond.
The study was released by Gilani Foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2596 men in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during May 05, 2014 – May 12, 2014. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
