Bahawalpur: A group of 60 teachers from China will soon visit to teach in Pakistani varsities and 140 Pakistani teachers will visit China.
This was discussed between Zhang Yingbao, Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of China and Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairperson, Higher Education Commission at HEC Secretariat on Tuesday.
The Chinese Government will select Chinese teachers who will be placed by HEC in different universities of Pakistan to teach Chinese language. HEC will select 140 Pakistani teachers who will be trained in China.
A formal MoU signing ceremony will be held in HEC after finalizing details of the programme.
This initiative is the follow up of a meeting between Mamnoon Hussain, President, Islamic Republic of Pakistan with Xi Jinping, President of Peoples Republic of China in February this year.
The step will help strengthen educational collaboration strategic and economic cooperation between the two countries as common languages play an integral part in bringing people together.
