60pc encroachments removed from Karachi, claims minister

Karachi: Sindh minister for local government told Sindh assembly here on Monday that 60 percent of encroachments have already been removed from Karachi and the rest 40pc would be removed soon.

He was answering to the call attention notice of MQM lawmaker Waqar Hussain Shah who said that the operation against illegal encroachments under the Quaidabad Flyover was stopped by the government abruptly after demolishing only 20percent illegally constructed shops. He asked when this operation would be completed.
