69 more dengue cases surface in Karachi

KARACHI: As many as 71 more dengue fever cases have been reported across the Sindh province in a week, out of which 69 were detected from Karachi.

According to the weekly report released by Dengue Prevention & Control Program Sindh, a total 3,664 dengue fever cases were reported from Sindh province from 1st January 2015 to till time, out of which 3,581 were detected from Karachi. Eleven people died from dengue fever in the city this year so far.

51th Week reported from 12 to 20th December 2015, 71 more dengue fever cases were emerged across the province, out of which 69 were reported from Karachi and two from Hyderabad.

Report further stated that out of total 3,664 dengue fever reported cases, 3,581 were reported from Karachi, 36 from Hyderabad, nine from Larkana, eight from Mirpurkhas, seven from Umerkot, five from Jamshoro, four from Shaheed Benazirabad, three each Thatta, Sukkur & Ghotki, two from Sanghar, one each from Shikarpur, Badin and Jacobabad.
