70 more dengue fever cases surface in Karachi

KARACHI: At least 72 more dengue fever cases have been reported across the Sindh province in a week, out of which 70 were detected from Karachi.

As per weekly report issued by Dengue Prevention & Control Program Sindh, a total of 3,595 dengue fever cases were reported from Sindh province since 1st January 2015 to date, out of which 3,512 were detected from Karachi. Ten people died of dengue fever in the city this year so far.

Report stated out of total 3,595 dengue fever cases, 3,512 were reported from Karachi, 36 from Hyderabad, nine from Larkana, eight from Mirpurkhas, seven from Umerkot, five from Jamshoro, four from Shaheed Benazirabad, three each from Thatta, Sukkur & Ghotki, two from Sanghar, one each from Shikarpur, Badin and Jaccobabad.
