771 SU officials get possession letters of plots

JAMSHORO: As many as 771 officers and faculty members of Sindh University on Thursday have been handed over the possession letters of the plots allotted to them in Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Sindh University Staff Housing Scheme (SMBBSUSHS) a couple of months ago after the raffling process.

Chaired by Vice-Chancellor of the varsity Prof. Dr. Abida Taherani, the ceremony was held at Shaikh Ayaz Auditorium, Arts Faculty Building, Allama I.I Kazi Campus Jamshoro.

Among others the members of management committee, syndicate members, officers and faculty members of the university participated in the ceremony organized for handing over the possession of plots.

Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the ceremony by giving away the possession letters of plots to 20 teachers and officers on the occasion, while the rest possession letters were distributed among the allottees by the members of management committee of the housing scheme.

Addressing the participants, Dr. Taherani said that it was big day for all the employees as they were getting their own piece of land for constructing their own homes.

Recalling the efforts taken by the Ex. Vice-Chancellor, she said that there was an unforgettable contribution of Dr. Nazir Mughal for getting the land approved by the Governor Sindh whereupon the housing scheme was made.

“One’s own roof is a blessing of God, lets thank Allah Almighty for, we all have got our own plot for building our own abode,” she said.

Dr. Taherani advised the employees to prepare their abodes as soon as they can so as to provide own roofs to the children.

“After getting the possession of plots, it is the prime duty of the employees, officers and faculty members to do justice with their jobs and render their services honestly,” said Dr. Abida Taherani.
