Accident: (12 die in road accidents in Punjab)

ISLAMABAD: As many as 12 people died and over a dozen sustained injuries in three different road accidents in Punjab on Sunday.

Five people, including two children, were killed and four injured when a bus hit a rickshaw on Jampur Road in Dera Ghazi Khan. Three people died and four others were injured in a collision between a bus and a rickshaw on Arifwala Road in Sahiwal.

In yet another accident, four people were killed and several others injured when two vehicles collided near Fakhar Checkpoint in Mianwali.

Punjab Chief Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep sense of shock and grief over the loss of precious lives and sympathised with bereaved families. He directed hospital authorities to provide best possible treatment to the injured.
