Accused flees from ATC court premises

KARACHI: An accused allegedly involved in possessing explosive material fled from the premises of Anti-Terrorism Court on Monday.

Accused Tanveer alias Jambo was brought from Central Jail Karachi before ATC-IX for hearing of his case, where he fled away from the scene after opening his handcuffs.

Cops including Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Riazuddin and Constable Zahid were arrested for their negligence.

The accused was arrested from Ibrahim Hyderi area of Karachi in 2014 and police had recovered explosive material from his possession.
