Accused remanded to jail custody

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday remanded an co-accused, Raees, on seven-day judicial remand in a extortion case.

According to the prosecution, Raees was an absconder in the extortion case which was registered against former policeman Waseem Beater. The court acquitted main accused in the case Waseen due to lack of evidence gainst him; however, case is proceeding other accused. The police arrested the accused on 30 March.
