Accused remanded to police custody till March 3rd

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) remanded three alleged activists of banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi to police custody till 3rd March 2015 in police encounter case.

Police produced the accused before the ATC judge under tight security. The investigation officer requested that the police needed their physical custody to trace their connections and whereabouts of absconding accomplices. The investigation officer requested the court to grant remand of all the accused to their custody till 8 March, however the court remanded the accused to police custody till 3 March.

According to prosecution, the Site-A police arrested the accused on 21 February after an encounter, recovered explosives material and illegal weapons from their possession.
