Accused remanded to police in diffrent cases

Karachi: An Anti-Terrorism Court ATC remanded an accused, Chanar, to police custody till 22 March 2015 in an explosives material, attempt to murder and assaulting public servants cases.

The police arrested the accused in injured condition after an alleged encounter on 15 March in Shershah area of Karachi.

Police produced the accused before the ATC judge in injured condition. The investigation officer requested the court to grant the remand of the accused to their custody as they wanted to map out his connections. The court accepted the police request and remanded the accused to their custody till 22 March. As the accused was produced in injured condition, the court directed IO to provide accused medical treatment as required. However, no complaint of maltreatment by accused at the hands of police.

According to the prosecution, the accused was arrested by the police after an encounter on 15 March 2015. The police claimed to have recovered hand grenade from accused possession.
