Accused remanded to police in illicit weapons cases

Karachi: An Anti-Terrorism Court ATC remanded an accused, Imran, to police custody till 22 March 2015 in illicit weapons possession case.

Police produced the accused before the ATC judge under tight security. The investigation officer requested the court to allow the physical remand of the accused as the police wanted to map out his connections. The court accepted the police request and remanded the accused to their custody till 22 March.

According to the prosecution, the accused was arrested by the police 15 March 2015. The police claimed to have recovered weapons without license from accused possession.
