KARACHI: The Health Department Sindh has completed inquiry against principals of male nursing schools over illegal admissions in batch 2013 and decided to take strict departmental actions against these officials, sources at health department told PPI on Tuesday.
Sources said health department had conducted inquiry against principals of three male schools of nursing including School of Nursing Lyari, Sir CJ School of Nursing Hyderabad and School of Nursing Jacobabad over illegal admissions in their respective institutions in batch 2013.
The principal of male School of Nursing Lyari had given 15 fake and illegal admissions in institution in 2013 batch. The principal of said school got registration for these illegal students and allowed them to participate in examination.
The principal of Sir CJ School of Nursing Hyderabad had given admission to 27 students on self-finance basis against merit. Similarly, the principal of School of Nursing Jacobabad also gave 27 admissions on self-finance seats by violating the merit.
The health department had completed inquiry against these officials and decided to take strict departmental action against them soon. The show-cause notices already served to these officials by health department.
Special Secretary Public Health Dr Khalid Sheikh was not available for comment.
