KARACHI: Senior Director Health Dr. Salma Kausar said on Thursday that medical teams of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Health Department with the coordination of provincial health department has targeted injecting anti-measles vaccine to 44, 63000 children till 31st May.
Whereas, 34, 44000 children have been administered measles vaccination up till now, she said.
Kausar said this while giving a briefing to Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhter Farooqui regarding anti-measles campaign at anti-measles injection centre Eidgah Maternity Home in Ranchor Line.
Farooqui directed health officials to perform their duty attentively as children were future of the nation hence they needed to be protected.
He said all the doctors and paramedics must, therefore, endeavour to inject anti-measles vaccine to more and more children so that the given target could be achieved and no children could be left without anti-measles vaccination.
He also issued instructions for better usage of the building and equipments available in the Eidgah Maternity Home.
