Affan Aziz elects chairman, Zonal/Regional Managing Committee of APTMA

Peshawar: Affan Aziz has been elected unopposed chairman, Zonal/Regional Managing Committee of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Region. The elections were held in APTMA House, Tehkal Payan, Jamrud Road, Peshawar.

Affan Aziz is son of Senator Mohsin Aziz, Vice Chairman KP Board of Investment & Trade, a well-known prominent businessman of KP.

Affan Aziz is Honorary Consul of The Republic of Korea for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and member board of directors of Mohsin Enterprises, Premier Formica, Premier Chip Board and Mohsin Match Factory.

Affan Aziz is also on the board of governors for Paraplegic Centre Peshawar. He previously remained as President of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the year 2011-12. He has also remained as Chairman of APTMA KPK Region for the period 2010-2011 moreover he was the vice chairman of All Pakistan Textile Mills

Association for three terms 2003-2004, 2010-2011 & 2013-2014. All office bearers and members of Zonal, Regional Managing Committee APTMA (KP Region) for the year 2015-16 including one representative Mohammad Taimoor Shah, Director M/s Sarhad Textile Mills Ltd, of the KPK Zone/Region in the APTMA Central Executive Committee, Karachi, were elected unopposed.

Others who elected were included, Sikandar Kuli Khan Khattak, Director M/s Babri Cotton Mills Ltd, Kohat as Vice-Chairman APTMA KPK Region while, Rana Kaleemullah, G.M (Finance) M/s Saif Textile Mills Ltd, Gadoon as Treasurer and Liaqat Ali Khan, Chief Executive M/s Meezan Textile Mills Ltd, Gadoon, Fazl-e-Subhan, G.M M/s ITHFZ Mills Ltd, Gadoon and Mohammad Saleem Akhtar, M/s Bannu Woollen Mills Ltd, as members of the Zonal, Regional Managing Committee.

Speaking on the occasion, Affan Aziz thanked the textile industry of the province for reposing confidence in him, saying Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is terrorism affected and pledged to leave no stone unturned for industrial development of the province.

He also vowed to continue struggle for announcing a special relief package for the industries of the province and steps for the resolution of the problems of the members of association on priority basis.
