Afghan nationals arrested for looting people in Sialkot region

SIALKOT: The Hajipura police on Sunday arrested two Afghan nationals for running a well-organized inter-district gang of dacoits.

DSP City Sialkot Maqsood Ahmed Lone told the newsmen that the accused Afghan nationals identified as Islamud Din and Zilmay Khan had been residing illegally in Sialkot. He said they had been running their inter-district gang namely Islamud Din Dacoit Gang.

He said the accused used to sell the snatched and stolen motorcycles and other vehicles in different areas of Gujrat district and other tribal areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan as well.

Two other accused members Ghulam Jillani and Zahid Khan of this gang were still fugitive and police was raiding at various places for their early arrest, the DSP added. Police have sent the accused behind the bars and further investigations were underway.
