Afsar stars in Mohammad Shareef Khan Memorial Cricket Tourney

Karachi: Afsar Nawaz put an impressive all-round performance taking two wickets cheaply for 11 runs and later scored 56 runs to help Rising Star Cricket Club thrash Steel Town Gymkhana by eight wickets in All-Karachi Mohammad Shareef Khan Memorial Festival Cricket Tournament here at Quaid-e-Azam Park Cricket Stadium in Steel Town.

Off spinners Saqib Badrul Hassan and Irfanuddin took three wickets each while Afsar took two to restrict Steel Town Gymkhana to 115-10 in 30 overs. Basit Shah was the top scorer with 19 runs.

Rising Star CC in reply reached victory total easily in 20.2 overs with Afsar scoring 56 in 65 balls with the help of eight fours and a six while Naeem Ahmed scored 40 runs off 53 balls.
