Aimed to roots out the menace corruption from the society-PDIC

Peshawar: Project Director Ihtesab Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zia Ullah Khan Toru has said that the commission is functional for the last three weeks in KP aimed at rooting out the menace corruption from the society.

This he was said while briefing the journalist at his office in Hayatabad Peshawar on Tuesday, Zia Ullah said that Ihtesab commission is land mark in the history of Pakistan and South Asia.

“The Commission can arrest the Chief Minister, Member Provincial Assemblies and other high profile official if they were found in any malpractices,” Zia Ullah Khan added.

He informed that the commission is an autonomous body and its Chief and other official were recruited through an independent scrutiny committee, adding that neither the government appointed the chief commission nor they can terminate him.

“The commission is working on some special assignments and soon those high officials who were fined in corruption will be arrested,” Zia Ullah Khan added.

He further said that commission was established to end the menace of corruption from the society and without of the public cooperation the commission can’t work, adding that print and electronic media should also highlight the important of Ihtesab commission in public.
