Akhtar Ali win in KGC Golf event

Karachi: Akhtar Ali won in a playoff with Shahzad Yousuf and Shahid Malik in the Karachi Golf Club (KCG) category of Bank Al Habib’s 5th Rashid D. Habib National Professional Golf Tournament 2016 here on Thursday.

In the KCG Professionals, Shafaq Khan won the match with Iqbal Masih on the second and a tie on third position by Samiullah and Abdul Rahman. Defending champion Nathoo Khan in the KCG Senior Professionals category defended his title successfully after defeating Mohammad Khan in a playoff.

The main tournament of 5th Rashid D. Habib National Professional Golf Tournament will start from Friday, January 15.

Pakistan’s current number two golfer Shabbir Iqbal would be defending his title earned in 2015. A total of 93 professionals including top cream of Pakistan Professional M. Munir, Matloob Ahmed, Shahid Javed Khan and last time runner up Waheed Baloch will compete during three days of the tournament.

This is also the beginning of Bank AL Habib’s Silver Jubilee Golf Celebrations that started nationwide with the start of 5th Rashid D Habib Memorial National Professional Golf Tournament with the record Prize Money of Rs. 5 Million along with the additional prize of Brand New Toyota Corolla Car for a Hole in One.
