AKU inter-varsity soccer tournament in quarter final stages

Karachi: The following 8 teams qualified for the Quarter Finals of 12th AKU Inter-University Football Tournament being organized by AKU Sports Centre at the AKU Football Ground. Institute of Business Management (IoBM) will take on Ziauddin University (ZU), Bahria University (BU) will play against Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST) will take on Hamdard University (HU) while Institute of Business Administration (IBA) will play against host Aga Khan University (AKU).

Meanwhile the last three league matches were decided yesterday of the Tournament. The results were as follows:

MATCH # 1 (Group-D)

INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (IBA) Vs SIR SYED UNIVERSITY OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY (SSUET)

IBA won the match, Score 1 – 0 Goal. At half time, Score was 0–0 Goal each.

Individual Score of Winner Team

1. Wali Haider 1 Goal (42nd min).

MATCH # 2 (Group-B)

INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (IoBM) Vs HAMDARD UNIVERISTY (HU)

IoBM won the match, Score 3 – 2 Goals. At half time, Score was 2– 1 Goals in favour of IoBM.

Individual Score of Winner Team

1. Zain Khan 2 Goals (4th & 13th min). 2. Usman Saeed 1 Goal (36th min). While Naik Muhammad 2 Goals (11th & 38th min) were scorer for the looser.

MATCH # 3 (Group-C)

SHAHEED ZULFIQAR ALI BHUTTO INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY (SZABIST) Vs JINNAH MEDICAL & DENTAL COLLEGE (JMDC)

SZABIST won the match, Score 1 – 0 Goal. At half time, Score was 1– 0 in favour of SZABIST.

Individual Score of Winner Team

1. Ali Hassan 1 Goal (20th min),

The matches were supervised by Referees Mehboob Rehman, Yousuf Mansoori, M. Tahir Official Scorer Sajjad Akbar and Match Commissioners Inayat Sayani and Ashiq Ali.
