AKUH service lauded

KARACHI: Director General & CEO, the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) Karachi, Hans Kedzierski, has said that his hospital is serving more than eighty thousands patients yearly, not another hospital of seven hundred and sixty beds hospital in even US or Canada doesn’t serve that much number of patients.

This he said at a program “Aga Khan University Hospital (Karachi): human, scientific, ambitious” was jointly organized by 21st Century Business & Economic Club (21st CBEC) and Overseas Universities Alumni Club (OUAC). Ex Speaker National Assembly and prominent politician Elahi Baksh Soomro was the chief guest at event.

Hans Kedzierski discussed many aspects of Hospital and told that AKUH is expensive but we say the treatment we provide is more valuable than the charges we receive. He told the audience that our clinics are serving more than a million patients yearly. “We have 1220 collection points all over the country and they carry out 9 million tests per year.” He said that our staff is very much competitive and we try our level best to give the best possible treatment to our patients. He said that nurses trained our nursing school are of international standard. He praised the AMAN ambulance service.

Chairman or TDAP SM Muneer also appreciated the services of AKUH. He said it is the best hospital he have ever seen in his country. He said that AKUH has wonderful system of utilizing Zakat for the treatment of poor people. He further said the because of government efforts, law and order situation is improving in Karachi. He hoped that it will improve in coming days.
