All encroachments on BBMU land will be removed soon: DIG

LARKANA: All illegal encroachments on Benazir Bhutto Medical University (BBMU) land will be removed.

This was assured by Deputy Inspector General of Police, Larkana Range, Dr. Saeen Rakhiyo Mirani, who himself is a former student of Chandka Medical College. In this connection, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of VC Prof Ghulam Asghar Channa in which SSP and other senior doctors also participated along with other officers.

The 160 acres costly land is located on airport road near Khair Mohammad Areejo village, where construction of buildings’ work is underway, but some habitual land grabbers had encroached some pieces of the land for which DIGP was requested to attend the meeting and extend help.

The VC informed that security of the university’s various departments will be strengthened as CCTV cameras will be installed very soon, which will cost more than Rs10 million. Addressing the meeting, DIGP assured the participants that all possible security will be provided to BBMU, adding all encroachments made on BBMU land will be removed for which cops will extend all possible help.
