KARACHI: The 3rd National Symposium on Bioanalytical and Bioequivalence Studies will begin from August 18 to 19, 2015 at the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) University of Karachi (UoK), said Director ICCBS Prof. Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Chaudhary.
He was presiding over a meeting of the symposium’s organising committee held at HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, UoK here on Saturday.
He said that over 200 scientists and researchers from various institutions of the country will be attending the national meeting, organised by the Centre for Bioequivalence Studies and Clinical Research (CBSCR) of Dr. Panjwani Centre for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD), UOK.
He said that the two-day symposium would provide an in-depth understanding of the theory; practices and critical issues related to bioequivalence assessment of investigational drugs.
“The inaugural ceremony of this prestigious scientific conference will be held on August 18 (Tuesday) at 09:30 am at the CBSCR Auditorium. Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman, Patron- in- Chief of ICCBS and former Chairman Higher Education Commission, will inaugurate the symposium while CEO Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) Dr. Mohammad Aslam and Khalid Mehmood of a private Pharma will participate as the guest of honour and chief guest respectively.
Besides, Director ICCBS Prof. Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Chaudhary, Chairman Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) Saeed Allahwala, Inventor of Mind Map of UK Prof. Dr. Tony Busan, Dr. M. Raza Shah and Dr. Naghma Hashmi of ICCBS will also express their views in the inaugural ceremony,” he added.
“These sessions will be conducted by the international experts.”
