Another motion of Nusrat rejected

Karachi: Yet another adjournment motion of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) lawmaker Nusrat Bano Seher Abbasi was rejected by the Sindh assembly here Monday.

The mover wanted to discuss the issue that there is acute shortage of hospitals and dispensaries in Malir district.

The motion said that this assembly may be adjourned to discuss a definite and important matter that there is acute shortage of hospitals and dispensaries in Malir. Due to which the people of the area have been facing, especially in Memon Goth, Dumba Goth, Gadap City, Rerhi Goth great problems. They have to travel to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) and Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK). This assembly recommends that Sindh government’s health department may take immediate action.

However, the minister for parliamentary affairs Sikandar Mandhro opposed the adjournment motion on technical grounds and the chair rejected it as ‘out of order’.
