Another polio case emerges in Sindh

KARACHI: Another polio virus case has been confirmed in Sindh province on Monday, bringing the toll to 27 in 2014.

A Health Department official confirmed that the new case was reported in Shikarpur district where a four-month Sumera daughter of Qadir Buksh of village Buksh Bakhrani, Union Council Hamayoun, Shikarpur was tested positive for the crippling disease, with status of doses 0+0.

Official said total 27 cases have been reported in province in 2014 so far, out of them 23 were reported from Karachi.
