Anti-encroachment action in North Karachi

KARACHI: Following the directive of Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhtar Farooqui, the anti-encroachments squad of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation took action in North Karachi on Wednesday and removed the encroachments including cabins, patharas, roadside hotels, push carts and other illegal structures from 2200 Road and 500 Road.

The operation was supervised by Director Anti-encroachments Mazhar Khan along with other officers. He said the area was facing problems due to presence of lot of encroachments and now with their removal the traffic flow on surrounding roads was restored.

He said the ongoing campaign against all kinds of encroachments would continue till the removal of all encroachments.

Meanwhile, Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhtar Farooqui, while giving instructions to anti-encroachments squad said the encroachments were putting adverse affect on the beauty of the city and creating problems for citizens in their daily life. The real benefits of development works would only be achieved with the removal of all encroachments in the city.
