Anti-polio drive continues

KARACHI: Director Health Karachi, Dr Zafar Ejaz on Monday said anti-polio campaign is successfully continued in 11 high-risk Union Councils of Karachi.

Dr Zafar said drive was started on 15 November and would conclude on 18 November, where over 243,000 children would be administrated polio drops. He said that authorities concerned were making efforts to cover the non-accessible areas of city. He hoped that polio teams would achieve the vaccination target.

Regarding a question about refusal reports in Landhi town, he said: “Refusal cases in high-risk UCs of Karachi is major issue and authorities concerned would address these issues at local level.”
