Anti-polio drive postponed sine die

KARACHI: The deputy project director of Sindh Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) Dr Durre Naz Jamal on Saturday announced that anti-polio drive in Sindh, which was scheduled to start from next week, has been postpone sine die.

In a statement, Naz said that EPI had sent a summery demand of polio vaccination to federal government in Islamabad but it was not approved yet as a result, the coming anti-polio drive has been postponed.

She said that EPI was short of funds to pay vaccinators and security men for the drive. She said that the anti-polio drive had been postponed till the summery would be approved.
