APJC demands security of journalists

SIBI/LAHORE: All Pakistan Journalists Council has demanded of the government for security for the journalists and registration of causes against banned Tehreek Taliban.

This followed threats to Chairman APJC Lahore and several other journalists of dire consequences.

APJC gave applications to CCPO Lahore for hurling warning to APJC Chairman Shabbir Hussein Toori, well known journalist form Kurram Agency Mohammad Saleem Khan, Secretary General WANA Press Club Din Mohammad Wazir, several journalists of Lahore by Tehreek Taliban Omar Khalid Khurasani Group for killing them.

Taking immediate action police registered a case against banned TTP.

APJC demanded of action against nominated accused and security to journalists serving in Lahore and other parts of the country.
