APPMA demands withdrawal of increase in school fees

Lahore: All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association (APPMA) has strongly condemned massive increase in school/collage fees by the private school owners and urged the Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of the situation.

In a statement issued here, leader of APPMA Khawaja Nadeem Saeed Wayeen said that recent massive raise in school fees would give a big blow to the middle class and they would left with no other option but to discontinue education of their children.

He said that the fees had been raised at a time when parents were already bearing the brunt of record inflation in the country. He said that there is no justification to make massive increase in the school fees as owners of private schools are already getting huge amount.

Khawaja Nadeem Saeed Wayeen urged the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of the situation as private schools’ administration has increased fees without any reason.

He said that protest of parents and students would be continued until and unless unjustified increase in fees is not withdrawn.
