Aqeel clinches top position in PTF Masters’ Invitational Tennis

Karachi: Aqeel Khan and Yasir Khan won their matches beating their respective opponents on the final day of PTF Masters’ Invitational Tennis event at the hard courts of Pakistan Sport Complex in Islamabad.

Matches were played on round robin basis, best of five set format, as that of Davis Cup.

In the first position match, Aqeel defeated Mohammad Abid Ali Akbar in straight sets by 6-4, 6-0, 7-6(2) score. The match lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes.

In the third position match, Aqeel’s younger brother Yasir Khan defeated Ahmed Chaudhry by 7-6(7), 6-0 (retired) score. The match lasted one hour and 26 minutes.

Aqeel received Rs.75000 as winner while Abid Ali pocketed Rs. 50,000 as Runner Up.
