Armed forces fully capable to defend frontiers: Jaffar Iqbal

Islamabad: Parliamentary Secretary for Defense Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal has said that armed forces are fully capable to defend the country’s geographical borders.

In an interview he strongly reacted to the recent provocative actions of India on the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary. He said Pakistan is pursuing the strategy of patience and silence as being an atomic state it wants peace and tranquility in the region. But India should not misconstrue this as our weakness.

India wants to test our force when our armed forces are engaged in rooting out the terrorists. Jaffar Iqbal made it clear that the nation and the armed forces will sacrifice their lives to defend the country at all costs. He said India time and again uses its conventional and unconventional weapons to establish its hegemony in the region.
