Asif congratulates Arif Hasan on retaining OCA Vice President’s post

Karachi: Softball Federation of Pakistan (SFP) Secretary Asif Azeem congratulated Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) President Arif Hasan for being re-elected as Vice President (South Asia) of Olympic Confederation of Asia (OCA).

“The re-election of Arif Hasan vice president is not only an achievement for Arif but it is an achievement for all of the country,” Asif said.

Asif added that through sports, our players bring good name to the country but the tireless efforts of people like Arif Hasan helps this to happen smoothly.

Arif Hasan has been re-elected for the post for the third time.

“The re-election of Arif Hasan for the successive third time is something we all should be proud of,” Asif added.

Asif further praised Arif for helping merited players to get to the top level.

“We all hope that Arif will continue to support merited players and help federations to promote their respective sport in the country,” Asif said.

Asif said that Arif played instrumental role in helping softball players of Pakistan to feature in international events.

“It was Arif Hasan, who helped us meet former International Softball Federation (ISF) President Don Porter and current President Dale McMann and Secretary Low Beng Choo. That helped us very much in promoting the game of softball in Pakistan as the international officials of the game extended a helping hand for us,” he stressed.

“It also helped our national teams to participate in more international tournaments than before,” he added.

Asif further said that SFP will soon be holding a reception ceremony in honour of Arif Hasan and will also give him Excellence Performance Award on the occasion.

“I hope Arif will continue extending his support for players and officials and subsequently promote different sports in the country in the same manner,” Asif signed off.
