ATC extends remand of 5 MQM men

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday extended the remand of five Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) men to physical custody till 7th April 2015 in illegal weapons possession and explosive substance material cases.

Police produced Mohammad Shakeel, Mehmood, Abid, Javaid and Amir before ATC judge amid tight security.

The investigation officer requested the court to extend the physical remand of all the accused as they were required for further interrogation. The court accepted police request and extend the remand all the accused to their custody for 14-day.

The suspects were arrested on 11th March when rangers raided MQM headquarters, Nine Zero, and its surrounding and they were in police custody from 12th March to 24th March.
