ATC extends remand of Safoora bus carnage facilitators

KARACHI: An Anti Terrorism Court on Thursday extended the remand of three alleged facilitators in Safoora bus attack case till 15th October.

Sachal Police produced three accused Naeem Sajid, Hussain Qamar and Sultan Qamar before ATC under tight security and requested the court for extension of remand for further interrogation. The police told court that they recovered weapons on the identification of Sultan Qamar and Naeem Sajid from their house.

The Court accepted the request and extended the remand alleged facilitators till 15 October.

The alleged facilitators were arrested on the identification of already arrested accused. They provided logistic support and weapons to attackers to carry out attack on Ismaili community bus near Safoora Chowrangi. The Sultan Qamar an official of Fishermen Cooperative Society (FCS).
