ATC handed over 3 accused to police on physical remand

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday handed over three accused to police on physical remand of 14 days for their alleged involvement in possessing explosive material, illegal weapons and encounter with police.

The Sohrab Goth Police produced three accused, Maraib alias Marbi, Junaid alias Janati and Baqir alias Baqri before ATC-I judge under tight security.

Investigation Officer (IO) requested the court to grant physical remand of accused as they are required for further investigation. The court accepted the police’s request and handed over the accused to them.

According to the prosecution, the accused were involved in possessing explosive material, illegal weapon and encounter with police.
