ATC issues nonbailable warrants against IO

KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) issued nonbailable warrants for the arrest of an investigating officer (IO) Ali Haider Shah over his absence in extortion case.

IO Shah was directed to appear before the court but he did not appear in money extortion case which was filed against the accused Masood Ahmed. The court could not record the statmentns of witnesses due to absence of IO.

ATC issued nonbailable warrants for the arrest of IO and asked police highups to arrest and produce him in the court on 24 February 2015.

The case was registered against accused Masood Ahmed at Khwaja Ajmer Nagri police station.
