KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday handed over a woman to jail on judicial remand and her husband to police on seven-day physical remand for their alleged involvement in extortion.
Baghdadi Police produced Ambreen and her husband Mehboob before ATC-III judge.
Investigation Officer (IO) requested the court to grant remand of both accused as they are required for investigation. The court handed over women to jail on judicial remand and on police’s request handed over her husband to police on seven-day physical remand.
According to the Prosecution, accused were involved in taking exertion from a trader in Baghdadi area of Lyari. They allegedly belonged to Sheraz Comrade Lyari Gang War Group.
