Badminton: WAPDA win Women’s Team Title

Lahore: The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) annexed the Women’s Team Title by downing the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) in the finals of the National Badminton Championship, being organized under the banner of Pakistan Badminton Federation, Punjab Badminton Association here at Punjab University Badminton Hall.

In Women’s Team Event, WAPDA bagged the title beating NBP by 3-2. As many as 10 teams namely WAPDA, NBP, HEC, Punjab, KPK, AJK, FATA, Sindh, Railways and Balochistan participated in the Women’s Team Event.

WAPDA remained runners up in Men’s Team Event, as NBP won the title by beating WAPDA 3-2. Some 15 teams i.e. NBP, WAPDA, SNGPL, HEC, New Khan, Karachi Port Trust, Pakistan Military Accounts Department, PTCL, Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, AJK, FATA and Railways participated in the run for the title.
