Karachi: Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, the daughter of PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari, said she cherished Lyari like Larkana and considered happiness and pain of people of Lyari as her own, says a release.
She was speaking at function held for distribution of compensation to the victim families of two separate bomb blasts occurred in Lyari on August 17, 2013 in Football Ground Bizenjo Chowk and on April 27, 2013 at Kumbharwara Chowk, Kalakot.
Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari said Lyari has remained a citadel of PPP ever since its foundation. She told the audience that she knew that her mother loved them very much.
Families of eleven martyrs, including eight of Football Ground blast and three of Kalakot blast were paid Rs 500,000 each while 65 injured of both incidents were given Rs100,000 each.
PPP Women Wing President MNA Faryal Talpur said PPP is fully serving the people of Sindh including Lyari, which will be continued.
However, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, who is also president of PPP Sindh chapter, was also present.
