QUETTA:,,, To improve infrastructure in rural areas importance of local government and rural development department cannot be denied. Twelve Municipal committees have been upgraded as Municipal corporations in the province wherein development projects would be completed under a coordinated programme besides steps would also be taken for providing basic facilities in rural areas.
These was stated Adviser on finance Khalid Langav in his budget 2014-5 speech in Balochistan Assembly here Thursday afternoon. He aid to achieve this objective our government is committed that all district offices of this department should be activated without any further delay. As a first step our coalition government has held local government elections firstly in Pakistan.
He said Quetta is city of us all and every flower of Baluchistan’s bouquet is showing its colour. Baloch, Pashtoon, Hazara and Settlers are living in this city but it is regretted that traffic system is very dilapidated. There is no effective drainage and sewerage system. Cleanliness is very bad and road condition is also is very bad.
Six Members from Quetta and entire house should extend practical cooperation for resolving problems of Quetta. He said Rupees 900 million would be provided for modern machinery for three elimination of filth in 58 wards of city, fire fighting vehicles and improving sewerage system. Parking facilities would also be improved by huge funds.
