KARACHI: Ex Mayer of Karachi and former member of Sindh assembly Naimayullah Khan Advocate charged on Monday that Bangladeshi government has violated the justice system by executing the Bangladeshi Jamaat-e-Islami leader Qamar-uz-Zaman, which he said is tantamount to violation of human rights.
In a release issued on Monday, he said Zaman was executed through ‘War Crime Tribunal’ because he loved Pakistan. He said at the time of alleged crimes he was just 16-years-old. He said due to his early age all allegations should not have been considered according to international justice system.
He said by executing Zaman, Hassena Wajid had again given the proof of her hate for Pakistan. He said Bengali government has already hanged the leaders of populous party Jamaat-e-Islami, Abdul Qadir Mulla and Professor Ghulam Azam, while many other leaders have been handed death sentences.
He said Qamar-uz-Zaman had been handed death sentence in 2013 which was implemented now.
Naimat claimed that War Crime Tribunal is made for punishing the Pakistan-friendly leaders. He said the UN has no time to realize the realities and perform it role to compel the BD government to close the War Crime Tribunal. He appealed the Pakistani government to raise voice against these executions in the UN.
