Bihar Colony residents complain against NADRA

JAMSHORO: Residents of Bihar Colony in Kotri on Wednesday requested chief Justice of Sindh High Court (SHC) to take suo moto notice of non-issuance of their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) by National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

“We migrated from Eastern Pakistan long time ago and since been settled in Pakistan. We need your attention (CJ SHC) towards the biased attitude of NADRA Kotri branch,” they said in a letter sent to the CJ SHC.

They said the future of Bihari patriotic people was being put in the darkness through ill-conceived plan.

“If area students or youths submit applications to NADRA Kotri office for making CNICs, they are not processed due to racism.”

“Our children are born here and got education as well. CNIC of parents are also present. However, neither our CNICs are being renewed nor our children are able to make CNICs. NADRA is creating injustice with Pakistani Biharis,” they said.

They said that they were patriotic Pakistanis and their fathers and grandfathers had rendered big sacrifices for the county.

“The behavior of NADRA officials is equal to genocide of our new generation, they said and added that we need justice.
