Bilawal denounces attack on Hazara community

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party Chairperson, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the barbaric and inhuman attack on members of the Hazara community this morning.

Eight members of the Shia Hazara community were killed and SIX others injured in the Hazara Ganji area of Quetta when assailants sprayed bullets over a bus and escaped.

Holding the government responsible, the Chairman said, “How long will the government continue to stand by and watch the cold blooded persecution of our Hazara brothers and sisters? The Hazaras in Pakistan are being systematically targeted and eliminated. This bloodbath must stop. It is the government’s responsibility to provide full protection to the Hazara Community rather than giving space and sanctuary to extremist organisations.”

Pakistan People’s Party stands by its Hazara brothers and sisters in this time of grief and resolves to continue its struggle against extremism and terrorism, he added.
