Bomb blast damges main railway track in Shahdadpur

SHAHDADPUR: A bomb explosion damaged Pakistan Railway’s main track in Shahdadpur in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The blast, which occurred at Berani railway crossing at about 3:00 Am, caused suspension of traffic on down track for three hours, causing unrest among the passengers and trouble to Pakistan Railway management. Some trains were stopped at Nawabshah and Tando Adam Railway Stations.

It was a big explosion which was heard in and outside of the town. The explosion caused panic across the town. The explosion caused five-foot-wide deep hole at the site of the incident.

The bomb explosion happend 15 minutes after Karachi-bound Sukkur Express passed the incident site. Jacobabad-bound Sukkur Express also passed 30 minutes before the blast. No loss of human life occurred in the incident.

A heavy contingent of police headed by DSP Ishtiaq Ahmed Arain rushed to the scene and inspected the site of the incident. He said that bomb disposal squad also reached there and after inspection, it said that the bomb was locally made. DSP said that a high-level investigation into the incident would be conducted and criminals involved in it would be arrested.
